The grounding concept for the renovation at Vanguard Credit Union was to create a sense of openness and flexibility in the member area with multiple points of interaction.

Members are guided into the center of the space by a directional luxury vinyl plank, the space is brought together with details such as classic and bold wall colors, unique lighting,  a coffee station, upholstered benches, and custom millwork with built in storage.

With an effort to plan for the future a self-serve counter was added and will eventually be complete with Ipad’s for members to use and receive assistance with online banking and demonstrations. Millwork in this area mimics the soft edge of the ceiling above and a larger curve continues over the remainder of the member area softening the overall rectangular shape of the space.

This remaining area is dedicated to the Member Service Representatives; serving at both a stand up or a sit down station. Custom built desks with a unique reveal detail, quartz counter tops and privacy glass were used to add another layer of subtle detail. It was important to keep lots of natural light in this space and we’ve managed to keep direct access to the windows.

Behind the desk symmetrical travertine stone feature walls flank a multi-dimensional wood feature wall. Not only did the feature walls serve as a design feature they are hiding built in storage that is easily accessible to the staff. Additional support spaces and offices were carpeted with a two tone pattern, wall colors were kept light, and depth was brought in with contrasting office furniture. Overall the space reflects a natural and earthy palette; warm tones, layers of texture and unique foliage were used to really bring this community Credit Union to life.
